SUMMARY
Responsible for providing administrative support to the Legal Department, including the Contracts Administration team and Alliant's in-house attorneys.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the contracts email inbox and maintains the contracts inbox manual.
Processes contracts and other legal requests, including distributing requests to appropriate team members, conducting initial research, coordinating review, and gathering required information from different sources.
Facilitates completion of various agreements, including populating standard templates, coordinating signatures, and collecting fully signed documents.
Updates and maintains the contracts database using the team's contract management system.
Coordinates team meetings and prepares meeting agendas.
Performs periodic audit of files and databases and helps resolve deficiencies.
Interacts with both external and internal stakeholders to support legal and contract requests.
Assists with electronic billing administration.
Maintains master calendars for contracts and legal projects.
Performs administrative duties and periodically assists with special projects for the Legal Department.
Assists with the preparation of correspondence, presentations, and spreadsheets, including proofreading for formatting, punctuation, and grammar.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
One (1) or more years of related administrative or general office experience
Experience and general knowledge of the commercial insurance industry is preferred
Legal background and paralegal training
SKILLS
Excellent reading comprehension, verbal and written communication skills
Good leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills
Excellent project management; ability to complete multi-faceted projects from start to finish
Ability to take initiative and motivation to work independently
Exceptional ability to multitask on multiple high-priority projects

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Proficiency in Adobe PDF program
Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint a plus, but not required
Experience working with a contract management system is a plus
