Director, Finance

We are seeking a Director of Finance who brings strong analytical capabilities, advanced financial modeling expertise, and experience leveraging modern analysis tools to drive data-informed decision-making. This individual will play a critical role in translating complex financial information into actionable insights that influence strategic business direction. In addition, this role will partner across the organization, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and provide strong leadership to a finance team, guiding the team's development while upholding disciplined financial processes and controls within an insurance environment.

Location: Corporate Office in South Sioux City, Nebraska

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop a collaborative accounting and financial reporting team
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and regulatory filings
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements
  • Serve as primary liaison for external audits and financial reporting matters
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and reporting efficiencies
  • Leverage financial modeling and advanced analytical tools to evaluate business performance and support data-driven decision-making
  • Translate complex financial data into actionable insights and reporting that inform strategic planning and enterprise initiatives

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field – CPA required
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial controls (SOX experience preferred)
  • Insurance or Property & Casualty experience is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience leveraging financial modeling and advanced analytical tools to support business insights and decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into meaningful, actionable financial insights
  • Insurance or Property & Casualty experience is a plus
