Under limited supervision of the Supervisor, the Claims Adjuster performs the essential functions of the position, which includes but is not limited to:


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Investigate, evaluate, and resolve automobile claims in a timely and efficient manner;

2. Document investigations, evaluations, recommendations, and plans of action;

3. Ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within company standards, industry best practices and all state and federal regulations

4. Produce grammatically correct and clearly written correspondence including letters, memos, reports and claim file documentation;


5. Effectively manage litigated files throughout the entire litigation process.

6. Exhibit a high degree of decision making and require minimal supervision with regards to liability decisions and injury evaluations.

7. Act as a mentor for adjusters with less experience and assist in the training and development of claims staff.

8. Respond to timely to customers’ inquiries and to requests by management.

9. Minimize customer complaint calls.

10. Comply with state and federal laws, Department of Insurance criteria, insurance carrier criteria and follow Aspire General Insurance Company/partner’s policies, procedure and work rules;


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


1. Three plus years’ experience in Property and Casualty insurance industry;

2. Must have a clear understanding of insurance industry practices, standards and terminology;

3. Experience handling both auto property damage and injury claims;

4. Must be able to pass a background check;

5. Must have a disciplined approach to all job-related activities;

6. Must have a solid foundation of personal organization, sound decision making and analytical skills, strong interpersonal and customer service skills;

7. Ability to work in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities
simultaneously;

8. Ability to achieve targeted performance goals.
