Job Description
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for working on a day-to-day basis with our commercial clients on policy servicing to include processing renewals, certificates, binders, marketing, proposals etc. A book of business will be assigned in which you will be responsible for ensuring prompt and effective service to each client.
Responsibilities of a Commercial Lines Account Manager
- Work independently, provide prompt, accurate and professional customer service to both internal and external clients.
- Understand key coverages and risk techniques.
- Market new and renewal business
- Maintain contact and collaborate with internal staff.
- Review current coverages and/or contractual requirements and provide guidance on appropriate changes; coordinate/provide claims reviews; inform/educate client on exclusions and exposures, and perform contract reviews and advise clients on insurance needs.
- Responsible for relationship building with the client and the appropriate client team members.
- Review and update applications, and general information (attachments, activities, follow-up) into the agency management system.
- Process, delegate and/or oversee audits, endorsements, certificates, proposals, policy checking and all other policy service and maintenance.
- Conduct all business in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain PA Property & Casualty Insurance license and all required CE.
Requirements of a Commercial Lines Account Manager
- High School Diploma, GED, or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Commercial lines insurance experience.
- Licensed in Pennsylvania Property/Casualty.
- Previous Applied EPIC experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate and resolve conflict.
- Ability to delegate duties, and follow-up as appropriate.
- Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers and peers.
- Ability to negotiate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
