POSITION SUMMARY
Provides daily supervision of sales and service staff focusing on new business growth, customer retention and customer services.  Coordinates with management to develop strategic planning for the agency.  Works with various banking units to maintain flow of new business referrals.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Responsible for the leadership, training, supervision and performance management of assigned staff.  Able to develop and structure a highly effective and skilled insurance team.
  • Develops relationships with the insurance carriers/the banking units.
  • Provides reports as needed to document results.
  • Continually access workflows for efficiency and consistency.
  • Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
  • Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS  

  • Five (5) to eight (8) years or more commercial insurance experience preferred.
  • Prior sales, sales management and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry.
  • Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Customer service oriented. 

EDUCATION 

  • Bachelors Degree preferred. 
  • Property & Casualty license.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel over night, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
