Merchants Insurance Group is a leading Property and Casualty Insurer in the Northeast and is looking for an experienced Information Technology (IT) Quality Control Administrator for our Information Technology Department located in Buffalo, NY. The IT Quality Control Administrator will become part of a dedicated Information Technology team focusing on implementing the various Information Technology standards and procedures to ensure company guidelines for quality and efficiency standards are achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Administers the Information Technology Change Management Process. Maintains application integrity by maintaining the different quality and production environments: User Acceptance, Integration, and Production.
- Monitors, administers and audits the internal systems including but not limited to: Vendor Management System, Security Access System, Microsoft Project Server Time Reporting, and IT Service Center.
- Assists the internal and external auditors to inspect current IT processes.
- Provides after hours support for production migrations and failures. Engages appropriate development or operations staff as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualified candidates will have a 4 year degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum two years in a medium-sized data center environment.
- Prior experience as a Production Controller or Data Analyst.
- Programming experience or knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle.
- Working knowledge of AS400 Operating System, CL Coding Utilities, Program migration software (ALDON), LANSA, Share Point, and Microsoft Project Server.
- Organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
