Job Summary
Provide routine administrative, secretarial and clerical support to a Managing Attorney, Supervising Attorney’s, Manager(s), and/or department staff, including typing; processing internal mail; answering telephone calls; compiling and assembling information; taking meeting minutes; maintaining technical publications, manuals, binder, files; maintaining supplies inventory; coordinating department requests; and performing other support activities that may be relevant to the specific assignment.

Work schedule:  Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET / hybrid schedule available

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Associates Degree or Technical or specialized knowledge or equivalent, related experience.
Experience: 1 - 3 years.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of general and technical parts of the job. Working knowledge in field, able to work independently.
Decision Making: Makes decisions within position standards, generally applying defined guidelines and procedures. However, some interpretation may be required in dealing with exceptions, such as choosing from two or more pre-defined alternative courses of action.
Supervision Received: Works under general supervision for routine work. Detailed or specific instructions may be given for new activities or assignments.
Leadership: Works as an individual contributor. May participate in training less experienced staff.
Problem Solving /Operations/Direct Work Involvement: Applies knowledge to help solve routine problems requiring independent thinking with direction.
Client Contacts: Contacts are typically within own department and occasionally outside own organization. Typically involves providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone and in person. Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.   Ability to lift light objects.  Requires knowledge of basic desktop computer operations and associated office and conference room equipment. Knowledge of multiple software applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Specific positions may require knowledge of other related software applications or knowledge of processes within department. Basic mathematical skills. Good communications and interpersonal skills.
