Position Summary:

The Claims Recovery Analyst is responsible for oversight of our subrogation and salvage recovery.    The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter, who can perform extensive task management with exceptional attention to detail, think strategically and independently.  This position will oversee our subrogation vendor, manage incoming salvage, coordination with outside counsel, adjuster training of recall notifications, and recovery evaluations.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Review claim files to identify subrogation potential evaluating facts, customers agreements, evidence, and financial damages.
  • Aid our subrogation vendor in securing supporting documentation to enhance recovery
  • Ensures all reporting requirements are met within CMS
  • Assists adjusters in submitting information necessary to ensure liability of third parties is recoverable
  • Tracks and generates reporting of pending salvage items to ensure transparency and proper collection for re-sale to auction houses
  • Monitor and provide direction where third party liability reimbursement exists
  • Audit of subrogation and salvage vendors as necessary to assure contract compliance of services is completed
  • Review and analysis of subrogation vendor existing artificial intelligence metrics to identify viable claims for recovery
  • Assists outside counsel to provide sound litigation management occurs and is moving a file to the most direct and cost-effective resolution
  • Provide any relevant recall notifications to claims and litigation staff
  • Monitor subrogation red flags for accuracy and pertinency

 

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required Experience working in the Homeowners/Property Insurance field with a focus on claims 3+ years of experience focusing on subrogation and/or liability claims Strong analytical and communication skills, initiative, thoroughness, and accuracy are a must.  Possess decision-making and negotiation skills Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing May be required to assist in other department areas as requested Other duties as assigned, with or without accommodation

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in liability investigation techniques
  • Litigation Management experience
  • Working knowledge of Florida's negligence laws
