The Subrogation Claim Representative is responsible for the investigating, pursuing and recovering of monies from parties that are responsible for losses sustained by our insureds. They will present claims and negotiate settlements with all at fault parties to ensure a maximum recovery.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Investigate automobile and homeowner liability cases and identify all liable parties. 
  • Contact of all responsible claimants and insurance carriers, to ensure timely recoveries. 
  • Present and explain our theory of liability to an adverse party or arbitration panel.
  • Negotiate settlements with an adverse carrier’s representative, an attorney or claimant.  
  • Participate in proactive team activities to achieve departmental and company objectives.
  • Possess knowledge of regulatory claims handling guidelines and statutory regulations.
  • Adhere to departmental internal control requirements. 
  • Attend all internal and external training events as required.  

 Qualifications and Education

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or 3- 5 years of claim experience in Casualty, PIP or Physical Damage.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Able to work in a team and be adept to conflict resolution.
