Insurance & Financial Risk Management Analyst

About the Role

Leading commodity trading and investment firm seeks an Insurance and Financial Risk Management professional. This role sits within the Treasury team and is responsible for managing the Company’s portfolio of insurance coverage with its global brokers, as well as providing financial risk assessment, balance sheet, and working capital analytics.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate renewals and underwriting requests with various insurance brokers to maintain Company’s portfolio of insurance policies
• Coordinate with broker for issuance of Certificates of Insurance
• Manage the claim process in coordination with Legal and broker teams to ensure claims are concluded efficiently and expeditiously
• Assess financial risk and balance sheet exposure of Company’s business units to support capital planning strategy
• Model different scenarios for capital usage and funding cost based on varying business and market assumptions
• Develop tools for improving financial data access and analytics across treasury, financial ledger, and credit risk systems

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an insurance analyst, underwriter, or account manager covering corporate and financial risk coverage
• Possess excellent business judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills
• MS Excel, Power BI/Automate, SQL, and VBA programming a plus

Compensation, Benefits, & Perks
