Responsible for the management of the actuarial financial reporting and analytics functions.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the monthly financial close and year-end Actuarial processes and reporting.  This would include both internal reporting functions as well as being an established point person with external auditors
  • Represent the actuarial functions in understanding and implementing IFRS17
  • Provide key financial reporting metrics and analytics to the business.
  • Manage the semi-annual reserve review processes.
  • Work with internal audit team as a risk champion to monitor and maintain internal / SOX Controls.
  • Operate in an environment of continuous improvement, updating processes and work streams as needed
  • Provide experience, guidance, and supervision of diverse staff with background and specializations in both actuarial science and data analysis
  • Provide technical support to other business units including translation of complex concepts and support of business goals.

Experience

  • Approximately 15 years of P&C actuarial experience
  • Previous management experience

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Education or Certification

Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society

Supervisory Role

Provide both general instructions and specific roles, which would include assigned responsibilities for specific results, based upon established guidelines
