Main Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Review team metrics to identify success as well as improvement opportunities.
- Review daily claim reports and take action when necessary to ensure proper handling of claims.
- Conduct individual monthly one on one meetings with staff.
- Conduct weekly team meetings.
- Identify and act upon opportunities to improve efficiency and staff performance.
- Prepare for and attend client meetings.
- Lead team specific objectives related to claims.
- Responsible of day to day employee relations issues including disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for recruiting new staff members.
- Provide accurate measure/metrics to the upper management team.
- Review individual claims and provide feedback and guidance to staff.
- Other projects as assigned.

Skills and Experience:
- Subrogation Knowledge.
- Ability through experience and education to appropriately handle subrogation files of moderate to high complexity.
- Ability to thoroughly evaluate claims for additional subrogation pursuit via arbitration filing; full liability denial, partial liability denial, and disputed damages.
- Awareness of laws that govern insurance claims by keeping current on critical case laws, statutes and trends in the field of subrogation.
- Client Customer Service and Communication Skills.
- Requires professional communication skills with a strong phone presence.
- Must be able to handle difficult conversations while being persuasive, professional, and courteous.
- Ability to work in multiple computer systems efficiently and understand basic computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, as well as within client or vendor applications.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of insurance subrogation claims handling experience.
- 2+ years in a claims leadership role.
- Inter-company arbitration filing experience, a plus.
- High School Diploma, prefer College Degree.
- CSRP - Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional Designation Preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and clearly speak English language; Spanish a plus.
