Senior Claims Adjuster - Commercial General Liability/Auto | Remote

Insurance Placement Solutions has an immediate opening for a Remote Senior Commercial General Liability/Auto Claims Adjuster with our client in the U.S. As a member of our client’s claims team, utilize your knowledge of general liability to independently investigate, evaluate and resolve assigned claims in order to achieve appropriate outcomes. In this position, you will administer and resolve claims in a timely manner in accordance with legal statutes, policy provisions, and company guidelines.

Senior Commercial General Liability/Auto Claims Adjuster Responsibilities

• Interprets and makes decisions using independent judgment on more complex and unusual policy coverages and determines if coverages apply to claims submitted.
• Manages all aspects of investigative activity on complex claims. Directs the discovery and litigation strategy with legal counsel.
• Analyzes claims activity and prepares reports for clients/carriers and management.
• Establish reserves using independent judgment and expertise and authorize payments within the scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements.
• Settles claims promptly and equitably and issues company drafts in payments for claims within authority limits.
• Develops subrogation and third-party recovery potential and follows reclaim procedures.
• Analyzes claims activities and prepares reports for clients, complex carrier reporting, and/or management.
• Participates in claim reviews.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience handling commercial general liability and commercial auto claims as a claims adjuster, from inception through closure
• Litigation experience is required

Licensing and Certifications

• Must have 20+ currently active adjuster licenses
• IIA, AIC, AEI, and/or CPCU is preferred

Education

• A high school diploma or equivalent required
