General Placement Service has been retained by a top-rated insurance carrier that specializes in writing Workers Compensation risks throughout the country. They are currently looking for a strategic, developmental leader with outstanding management skills and the drive to set and achieve company goals. The President will have a broad range of responsibilities from communicating with the Board of Directors to managing large projects and improving processes. In coordination with the executive team and Board of Directors, you will keep the company’s mission of creating safer workplace environments and lowering costs at the forefront while maintaining result-driven performance.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help achieve financial goals and objectives by increasing operating performance
  • Attend Board meetings to communicate company strategies and financial stability
  • Oversight of operating budgets to identify ways to maximize revenue  
  • Monitor and evaluate organizational objectives to ensure operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs of the company
  • Continuous planning and execution of new solutions in technological advantages over competitors
  • Work with insurance company executives and independent agency partners on business development and maintenance of existing business
  • Maintain highly productive relationships and partnerships by attending industry-related and community events for the benefit of the organization
  • Travel with Territory Underwriters to meet with agency partners
  • Identify opportunities to expand company’s geological footprint and establish long-term growth
  • Provide oversight of Workers Compensation claims processes and underwriting rules, rates and procedures
  • Act as a Servant Leader by focusing on the well-being and best interests of others
  • Mentor and motivate staff to create a positive team atmosphere
  • Collaborate with team members in strategic decision making
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by each department
  • Conduct monthly meetings with direct reports
  • Act in the best interest of the company and maintain a strong work ethic
  • Uphold company culture and values
  • Exercise an entrepreneurial perspective on the overall success and future of the company

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
  • 7-10 years of management experience within the insurance industry
  • Extensive knowledge of Worker’s Compensation policy structure
  • Mathematics and/or technology background a plus
  • A charismatic and energetic personality
