Director of IT - Chief Technology Officer

The Director of IT will be responsible for leading all IT related activities of the organization with supervisory responsibilities for all team members. This position will interface with business leaders and senior management, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.  This role is a key leader in information architecture, platforms, applications, data management, digital capabilities, strategic technical projects and providing innovative solutions to the organization. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide vision, leadership and innovation to achieve short and long-term goals
•Oversee all technical aspects of day-to-day operations 
•Engage in strategic planning with business and IT stakeholders to provide direction, technology roadmaps, platform design, architecture and bottom line cost-benefits
•Lead transformation across IT Infrastructure to enable faster delivery, ensure system performance and support of Cloud based Paas, IaaS, Shared Data platforms
•Continue to develop awareness of the industry as a whole; the competition, market dynamics, industry trends and customer needs
•Conduct management activities including performance reviews, performance improvement, mentoring and acting as a positive role model

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of related experience in Life, Annuity, Financial Services and/or Technology
•Ability to build and manage relationships with suppliers and internal organization
•Strong analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Outstanding energy, focus and drive to achieve results
•Be willing to relocate or currently reside in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area
•Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
