About the Role

As Employee Benefits Account Manager you join a boutique benefits firm, headquartered in Texas, to support a portfolio of small and large clients with various funding arrangements. Working closely with the Managing Producer, you take the lead on daily account management issues in addition to participating in the full renewal lifecycle. 

Here are some other specs on the role:

  • Location: San Antonio, Austin or Dallas, TX
    • The team spends quite a bit of time working virtually each week. Expect some mixture of in-office time (as needed) but quite a bit working from home.
  • Salary Target: $65k-$80k depending on experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of group employee benefits client service experience to include similar tenure with a retail insurance agency or with an insurance company or benefits TPA.

Skills & Experience

  • Self-funded exposure is helpful. This is important because you’ll work with clients that generally have 50-500 employees and therefore vastly different health and welfare programs.
  • Someone who can work independently with little training or supervision required.
  • Enjoy a blend of behind-the-scenes processing work and direct client engagement. Although COVID has lessened the ‘client facing’ component, you will still be in active communication with clients about billing, enrollments, communication, compliance, policy changes, claims, and mid-year reviews.
