Job Summary
Position can be at a higher level commensurate with experience. This position is based in Webster, MA (3 days in office-2 from home)
Drives the detailed development and rollout of new or enhanced Personal Lines property and casualty insurance products. Partners with the Product Strategy and Development Team to take the developed and vetted design of new product or pricing features, vendor tools, Value Adds, etc, and takes the necessary steps, including planning efforts, writing requirements, development of guidelines, marketing materials and reporting, to rollout the new solution in the applicable states. Partners with the Product Administration Team, Actuarial Team and State Teams to develop any necessary Rules and Filings. Establishes and takes a lead role on cross-functional teams required to execute the individual projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
Experience: 2 - 4 years - or Associates Degree equivalent plus 4 - 6 years.
Knowledge: Complete understanding and knowledge of industry practices, standards, and concepts within field of work. Applies them to perform or lead work requiring extensive analytical business skills.
Decision Making: Makes complex decisions interpreting company policy, for which there is no set procedure. Decisions influence success for projects of significant impact importance, client relationships, expenses and or ability to meet organizational objectives.
Supervision Received: Works independently under general supervision. Work is reviewed for overall adequacy in meeting objectives.
Leadership: May provide training and guidance to less experienced staff.
Problem Solving /Operations/Direct Work Involvement: Applies knowledge to determine solutions to complex problems with minimal direction. Uses research and analysis to develop innovative and practical solutions which are consistent with organizational objectives.
Client Contacts: Contacts other departments and or external organizations or parties frequently. Contacts are primarily at or below upper management levels. Represents organization on specific projects. Communication may involve persuasion, and negotiation.
