Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Casualty Adjuster who is interested in joining a growing Excess and Surplus Lines Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of commercial general liability claims of a severe, complicated, and complex nature.  File inventory includes litigation and complex coverages. Other responsibilities include completing large loss claim notices, participating in department initiatives, working effectively with other departments, and contact with external customers which involves maintaining, developing, and influencing relationships with customers and partners.

Casualty Adjuster responsibilities include:

• Effectively manage, investigate, evaluate, and resolve severe damage and complex coverage General Liability claims and/or program(s) of significant value to the organization.
• Claims include litigation, Premises Liability, Assault & Battery, Products & Completed Operations, New York Labor Law, Construction Defect, Personal & Advertising Injury, and Excess.
• Drafting coverage letters for management review
• Managing vendors involved with claim files, ie Independent Adjusters, Defense Attorneys, and Coverage Counsel
• Completing Large Loss notices as required
• Participating in roundtable file discussions with Ategrity leadership
• Assist with coaching, training, and mentoring unit members
• Maintains current knowledge of insurance line, court decisions which may impact the claim function, current guidelines in the claim function, and policy changes and modifications

Requirements

• General Liability experience, 5-10 years preferred
• Experience with E&S and multi-jurisdictional claims 
• Experience with Excess GL coverage 
• Experience directing defense and coverage counsel
• Experience with complex litigation and coverage issues
• Proficient in Word 
• Maintain high level of integrity and trustworthiness
