As a Risk Management Professional, you will assist LAMMICO’s insureds, practices, facilities, and hospitals reduce their risk through risk analysis, risk consultation, in-services and medical record and claim analysis. Position Summary:
Contributes to the Risk Management (RM) plan by identifying, analyzing, reducing risk for LAMMICO and its insureds. Participates in the development and implementation of the RM program in assigned territory to individual and large group and healthcare facility insureds.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Conducts review and analysis of medical malpractice claims for insureds in assigned territory
- Conducts assessment for assigned individual and group medical practices and healthcare facilities; provides insureds with loss prevention and loss control interventions that are consistent with RM principles
- Provide RM consultation to assigned physician practices including large physician groups and healthcare facilities
- Conducts telephone consultation with individual, group medical practices, and healthcare facilities
- Develops and presents live and online RM education seminars for physician practices including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nursing staff, and other medical office staff
- Conducts loss analysis for assigned territory based on internal and external data/information
- Evaluates territory loss and make comparisons to the book of business and draw conclusions for developing and implementing loss prevention and loss control interventions
- Reports to the assigned Committees regarding insureds risk profile
- Serves as RM expert to LAMMICO insureds
