About the Role

The Sales Leader is responsible for the strategic leadership of this New Jersey insurance agency’s sales team. The privately held organization has a strong, family-oriented culture with a focus on organic growth. They seek an individual who has a track record of training and developing salespeople in an action-oriented sales philosophy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor a team of 10-15 producers in property & casualty insurance (commercial and personal lines) as well as life & health
  • Assist in the development of new business across all agency departments; promote cross-department referrals
  • Set department goals and establish individual new business and retention sales goals
  • Create sales processes and value proposition to achieve brand differentiation in the market
  • Implement sales procedures, meetings, reporting and technology utilization to promote pipeline development and maximize closing & retention success

Skills & Experience

  • At least 7-10 years of insurance industry experience including significant time in sales management
  • Technically proficient in commercial insurance middle market and risk management business as well as the cross-selling platforms and team-based approaches to sales
