Claims Adjuster - Workers Compensation Medical Only

Insurance Placement Solutions has an immediate opening for a Workers Compensation Medical Only Claims Examiner with our client in the Las Vegas, NV area. As a member of our client’s claims team, utilize your knowledge of workers' compensation to independently investigate, evaluate and resolve assigned claims in order to achieve appropriate outcomes. In this position, you will administer and resolve claims in a timely manner in accordance with legal statutes, policy provisions, and company guidelines.

• Processes claims where all issues (indemnity, legal, etc.) have been settled and the claim is only open for payment of medical benefits
• Contacts, by telephone, insureds, claimants, and medical providers for additional information or medical verifications to verify and report the status of claims
• Approves payments of medical bills on lost time disability claims, within payment authority, after compensability has been determined by the Team Manager or claim technician/handler
• All file handling must be within state statutes, client claims handling guidelines, and best practices

• 2+ years handling workers compensation medical only claims as a workers compensation claims adjuster
• Nevada license required

• High school diploma required
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
