Our client is a specialty MGA looking to hire a Transportation Underwriter in the Western and Northwest Pacific areas. Ideal locations are Denver, Seattle, Boise and Phoenix. In this role, you will act as the "face of the company" and visit independent agents/retail insurance brokers to market the company's products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and maintain relationships with assigned agents
- Build and grow a profitable book of business
- Underwrite all new business throughout the territory
Qualified candidates must have at least 5+ years of experience underwriting Commercial Auto, Trucking/Transportation or Public Auto lines of business. A Bachelor's Degree and industry designations, such as CPCU, AU, and ARM are preferred but not required.
