Mid-Continent is currently searching for a Senior Claims Representative in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.

Responsibilities:

Investigate construction defect claims to determine coverage and liability.  Monitor and negotiate claim settlements with insureds, claimants and attorneys.  Responsible for litigation management for files of moderate to high complexity. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Candidate must have 3-5 years of experience with a strong working knowledge of general liability claims handling, strong written and verbal communication skills, initial claim review and coverage analysis, direct investigation and direction of independent adjusters, litigation management and monitoring of assigned attorney activities, monitoring and directing the litigation process, analyzing exposures and recommendation of reserves, claim evaluations and negotiations within assigned authority, mediation and trial attendance.  This position requires a background in commercial general liability coverage, with a focus on construction defect and premises liability issues.  Prior litigation management and basic construction knowledge is a plus.
