About the Role

The Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager role is an immediate job opening with one of North Carolina’s largest privately held insurance brokers. They need an experienced client manager to support the Account Executive and Producer with inside & outside client relationship management, provide in-depth technical expertise ad serve as a liaison with other departments as well as insurance carriers.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Closely partner with a senior sales executive on marketing renewals and daily service action items like applications, billing, policy changes, enrollments, ID cards, service issues and contract concerns
  2. Maintain employee benefits industry knowledge on carrier intricacies, eligibility requirements, plan design, network restrictions and internal systems
  3. Key experience you possess includes:
  • Account Management
  • Compliance
  • Client Retention
  • Communication
  • Enrollments
  • Policy Development

Skills & Experience

  • At least 5-7 years experience in group employee benefits client management.
  • Understanding of group benefits to include: medical, dental, vision & life insurance. Preferred exposure to some additional health and welfare areas like disability, worksite benefits, ACA requirements, COBRA and Section 125 plans.
  • Life & Health insurance license.

Compensation

  • $65k-$85k salary range depending on experience
  • Current COVID protocols allow a split schedule between home & office but new hires must complete all training in the office, 5 days/week
