Business Development Manager - Houston, TX
Profitable and growing Property and Casualty Insurance company is seeking a Business Development Manager for their Texas Regional operation.  Person will be based out of Houston.  Candidates will be responsible for the development of retail broker/agency relationships focusing on Workers' Compensation and general commercial insurance coverage for small to mid-sized businesses in the Southwest Region.  You will develop and lead the strategic marketing strategy, while networking, attending industry events, advertising and cold calling as well as integrating new ventures.  Candidates can come from the production underwriting or marketing / sales backgrounds.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in Marketing / Sales / Business Development of Workers' Compensation and Commercial Insurance on the carrier, broker or direct insurance sales sides of the business
• Strong retail broker relationships in the Southwest, preferably in Texas
• Bachelor's Degree is required 
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Proficiency in strategic planning and analytics
• Successful track record for driving new business from retail brokers
• Professional Insurance designations are considered a plus
