Allegiant assists global employers with a wide range of international health, welfare and risk services. We are looking for an experienced P&C Account Supervisor to develop and lead our expanding commercial insurance department. Strategic focuses of this position will include servicing clients, retaining clients through superior service, organizing and streamlining Allegiant’s P&C client information and managing annual renewal cycles.

Headquartered in Boston, MA with offices in the northeast and in Ireland, Allegiant services a client base of nearly one hundred organizations located throughout the United States and Canada.

Account Supervisor Purpose

To supervise Allegiant’s growing P&C insurance practice with the primary goal of maintaining Allegiant’s current metric of one hundred percent client retention. A substantial part of this job is client interaction and support throughout the policy year. Such interaction will include (but not be limited to) daily account services and renewal cycle activities. Additionally, the Account Supervisor will lead the development of the P&C practice by identifying and implementing processes that will continually improve client outcomes and satisfaction levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute client renewal strategy
  • Manage client product strategy and lead marketing efforts
  • Understand underwriting concepts
  • Manage all facets of P&C clients’ administrative needs: billing, service, claims, RFIs
  • Collaborate with Allegiant staff in the benefits and emergency assistance practices to continually assess and identify client exposure
  • Develop reporting and tracking mechanisms for all client data (DataMart)
  • Engage with foreign brokers to assess and analyze locally sourced insurance
  • Participate in market-facing activities like client meetings and new business opportunities
  • Participate in new business development by actively managing a prospect list

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, major in actuarial sciences, mathematics, business, or economics a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial insurance underwriting or an underwriting-related role, international insurance experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, previous sales experience a plus
  • Experience creating in-depth underwriting and financial models
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Work Requirements

  • Ability to travel domestically
  • Remote work status in a professional environment
  • Ability to visit Boston, MA office upon request
  • Commit 40 hours per week to the job; given the salaried and incentive compensated nature of the job, additional hours per week may be necessary
  • Given the role Allegiant plays in client’s emergency assistance efforts, the ability to work in “nonstandard” hours in the event of a client emergency
