Our client is a specialty MGU looking to hire a Senior Transportation Underwriter in the Indianapolis area. In this role, you will act as the "face of the company" and visit independent agents/retail insurance brokers to market the company's products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and maintain relationships with assigned agents
- Build and grow a profitable book of business
- Underwrite all new business throughout the territory
Qualified candidates must have at least 5+ years of experience underwriting Trucking/Transportation or Excess lines of business. A Bachelor's Degree and industry designations, such as CPCU, AU, and ARM are preferred but not required.
