Insurance Accounting Analyst

About the Role

The Insurance Accounting Analyst focuses on the accounting and reconciliation of data for this large, independent insurance agency’s small commercial clients. Working in the agency management platform Nexsure, you maintain all accounting and financial functions that lend support to the client service and finance teams. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilize the agency management system Nexsure to ensure accurate and complete posting of insurance company and customer payments
• Reconcile and resolve invoicing and insurance company accounts payable discrepancies
• Ensure accurate and complete posting of direct bill commissions statements
• Manage commission statement download process and resolve any exceptions with the service teams and insurance carrier
• Maintain accurate calculation of producer commissions and preparation of producer statements
• Assist with data conversion and reconciliation during systems integrations of acquired agencies 
• Conduct audits to ensure data integrity within Nexsure

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least two (2) years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior insurance industry experience is required

Compensation

$50k to $70k salary target depending on experience
