About the Role
The Cybersecurity Risk Engineer job opening means joining one of the ten largest insurance and risk management firms in the country. The organization delivers industry-focused expertise and product specialization to large business clients, many of which have cybersecurity vulnerabilities that must be addressed. Your mission is to integrate knowledge of cybersecurity and technology risk with insurance risk to provide attract solutions to risk managers, finance, IT and IT security departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
Represent the firm as an expert in IT security risk. Work with Chief Information Security Officers within client companies to:
- Assess cyber security needs.
- Review systems the client currently uses.
- Identify vulnerabilities in those systems.
- Provide solutions using insurance programs as the bridge.
- Assist the sales and service team in sales and client review meetings to secure new accounts and strengthen existing relationships.
- Work with internal actuarial and quantification teams to create and refine models for assessing privacy, security liability and first party risk. Determine improvements to products and service features that meet custom needs.
- Assist in developing vendor partner programs to provide pre & post breach services.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
- CISSP or similar certification is a plus
- 5+ years in IT Security Risk & Consulting preferably security risk assessment & breach response
- Experience working with CISOs and NIST standards
- Insurance industry experience (underwriting or agency brokerage) in cyber insurance is desired
Job Specs
As a part of the Executive Risk & Cyber Liability division, you identify and quantify risks to cyber threats and susceptibility to ransomware, data privacy breaches and cyber related business interruption; solutions which can be bridged through insurance risk management programs.
Compensation
$200k+ depending on experience
