This National builder, that specializes in highly complex and sustainable projects, is seeking a talented Environmental Health & Safety Manager for their Northern California Business Unit. This person can be located in San Francisco, San Jose or between.
Management of environmental program elements has increasingly become a major focus for safety professionals. The traditional safety professional has found that knowledge of environmental affairs is critical. Those who have interest or experience in environmental management are encouraged to apply.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create programs to develop safety staff to support operations & broader EHS philosophy
- Work with operations group to improve upon safety
- Support BU Leads in their strategic support of the EHS Strategy
- Actively engage with trade partner & client/owner personnel around EHS on an ongoing basis
- Support & guide the implementation of the Safety program on all sites
- Support Leadership Team in the development and implementation Global EHS strategies
- Define, analyze & report key EHS performance indicators & benchmarks
- Provide support to Client Pre-Qualification, Project Interviews etc. from an EHS perspective
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience with EHS on construction sites
- Experience with large construction projects
- Degree in safety management and CSP, CHST or other safety professional designations
- Experience with Behavior Based Safety and have a relationship driven personality
- Bilingual preferred but not required
Compensation
$130,000 to $145,000
