Our General Claims Legal Department is seeking an attorney with a minimum of four years of experience in handling primarily Pennsylvania general insurance defense work, principally related to bodily injury and property damage claims involving auto accident, premises liability and coverage issues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise the litigation of insurance defense matters by outside counsel
• Provide legal advice to General Claims department regarding personal and commercial auto, homeowners and commercial general liability coverage, developments in relevant case law, statutes and regulations
• Contribute legal claims advice to underwriting and policy matters, regulatory complaints, fraud investigations, and other matters

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• JD and admission to practice in PA or NJ Bar in good standing required, both preferred
• 4-7 years of experience handling general insurance defense and coverage litigation work in PA courts
• Additional experience in NJ courts and with NJ PIP litigation preferred
• Judicial clerkship is beneficial
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
• Must be decisive with strong organizational and time management skills
