Primary Responsibility
The Loss Control Representative will conduct loss control and risk management functions in accordance with the objectives and procedures outlined in the agency procedures.  Ensure Company is in compliance with all Accident Prevention Service requirements mandated by the states where Company is licensed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Inspect facilities of policyholders and recommend loss control measures.
  • Provide a written loss control program for use by self-insured clients.
  • Assist with training or other resources that may be required by the policyholder.
  • Coordinate the preparation and be the lead person for all state Accident Prevention Service examinations.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering or related college degree.
  • At least three years of experience in safety/loss control.
  • Must be a licensed driver in compliance with agency’s requirement regarding motor vehicle record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional designation (CSP/CRM )

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of commercial lines underwriting and loss control concepts
  • Ability to observe, examine, measure, inspect, gather data, and describe all aspects of a property/building/business, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, prospects and corporate staff
  • Ability to work independently and meet timed deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve
