About the Role
This Commercial Insurance Account Manager is an immediate opening with a super-regional independent insurance broker headquartered in the Gulf South. You will support senior producers located in Mississippi who have large books of business (middle market and risk management) in specialty industries like construction and public entities. This is a great opportunity to tap into the agency’s growth in multiple offices and be positioned to progress within the client service ranks.

Duties & Responsibilities
For new and renewal clients:

  • Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with your accounts
  • Expand relationships with various insurance carriers
  • Market services to accounts
  • Perform account administration
  • Handle renewals
  • Address and resolve any problems/concerns that arise

Job Specs

  • Location: You will support a book of business for a producer who’s based in Jackson, MS. You can work from that office or in a satellite- Birmingham, Nashville or Pensacola.
  • Great ‘inside/outside’ abilities meaning you like to work within the office handling policy administration and service duties while also feeling comfortable meeting with clients as needed
  • Overall a generalist book of accounts across various industrial, professional and retail accounts

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years in account management or account support
  • State insurance license
  • Advanced Microsoft Word & Excel skills

Compensation & Perks
$55k-$75k target salary range + full benefits, 401(k) and generous PTO
