As Investment Attorney, you serve the legal needs of the company's Investment Department with significant and direct counsel to the Chief Investment Officer and other senior leaders. This position requires experience with investment transactions (lending, asset backed securities, etc.).

Duties and Responsibilities

Work with derivatives managers and investment operations teams on the following:

  • Transaction negotiation and documentation
  • Applicable state and federal laws related to transactions and portfolio management
  • Maintaining and monitoring governing investment documentation, policies, procedures and training
  • Counseling and serving as Secretary of the Company's Investment Committee
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to make sure investments are properly accounted for and reported
  • Work with business teams on joint transactions with the parent company involving investments and financing transactions

Skills and Experience

  • JD plus at least ten (10) years of legal experience with at least five (5) years advising on investments transactions around bank transactions (loans and lending) and asset backed securities.
  • Active member in good standing of the state bar with the ability to become licensed in Kansas if not already.

Compensation

  • $125k-$175k salary range + annual bonus eligibility, full benefits package and relocation assistance as needed.
