Job Summary

Under general direction, this position is responsible for: working with management to assess training needs by collaboratively working with client(s) to conduct needs analysis; supporting short and long-term business objectives through blended adult learning strategies; identifying, developing, designing and delivering classroom, virtual and blended learning curriculum to meet the technical and leadership demands of employees, vendors and business partners.

Marketing Description



Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Primary role is to deliver curriculum to meet training initiatives and enhance business productivity. Working with management, determine the best instructional delivery and methods for each training program or session. Design, develop and maintain effective training manuals and materials incorporating adult learning guidelines and approaches. Implement training programs to enhance business productivity. Utilize computer-based training whenever possible. Evaluate the results of training, determine effectiveness and recommend appropriate alternatives. Monitor and control all related expenses, ensuring cost-effective methods are utilized and business training needs are met. Develop train-the-trainer tools and modules for training programs. Work with peers to identify areas where common training solutions can be leveraged across businesses. Provide technical mentoring of employees after formal training. Maintain business knowledge by answering customers' calls regarding their policies for a specified period of time when not facilitating a class. May maintain records and reports of training activities. May develop and coordinate training calendar for designated locations. Act as a training resource.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of two years of work experience in supported business operation or other learning and development related experience.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
College degree or equivalent experience in adult learning techniques and customer service. Typically 2-5 years professional experience. Professional training credentials preferred. Writing and developing training materials experience preferred. Coaching/mentoring experience preferred. Excellent PC skills including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using training development tools/applications a plus

.Demonstrated ability to successfully facilitate classroom instruction strongly preferred. E-Learning/ instructional design experience or knowledge is a plus. Strong business acumen regarding Personal Insurance and Customer Service operations. Experience with the Insurance Service Representative role strongly preferred. Training certification(s) a plus. Possesses strong communication, presentation and organizational skills. Exhibits strong attention to detail, organization and multi-tasking. Demonstrates initiative to identify potential issues and propose sound solutions. Possesses ability to influence business partners to select and implement appropriate training solution. Can conduct basic Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) activities. Familiar with basic Evaluation/Impact Assessment techniques and with basic project management processes and procedures.

Job Specific & Technical Skills & Competencies
Basic technical experience in line of business supported. Introductory leadership skills, including building, maintaining work relationships preferred.

Environmental/Work Schedules/Other
Weekend work hours - Occasionally Overnight work hours

Significant travel (up to 30%) for periods up to several consecutive weeks may be required. Able to adjust shift schedule to support class training schedule if needed.
