The Post Sale Services group within GRM Business Lines Technology is looking for a Senior Scrum Master / RTE to help lead our eCLIQ Platform organization and associated Agile Release Train (known as the Heart Train). In this role youll partner with the aligned business and IT leadership team to lead, serve and support five talented agile teams providing secure, stable and cutting-edge solutions for the eCLIQ Platform that serve our agents and underwriters. As the Senior Scrum Master, you will use your coaching and mentoring skills to help the train grow and mature. Youll leverage your collaboration and problem-solving ability to help remediate impediments impacting overall team health and delivery. Perhaps most importantly you will use your servant leadership capabilities and mindset to help empower, energize and motivate the teams you support.
About the job:
Be the driver in a fast paced, challenging environment working with multiple Scrum and Kanban teams to ensure successful and timely delivery of business and technical objectives. Key responsibilities include:
Coaching
- Coach senior leaders, managers, business partners, and teams through enhancement of agile transformation, help to ensure alignment with established methodologies and transformation goals.
- Facilitate continuous improvement and the development of a learning culture on teams.
- Coach, mentor and provides guidance to scrum masters.
- Provide input on scrum master and team performance.
Agile
- Coordinate and enhances the portfolio agile process - refines, recommends and implements consistent process and tools for agile program management.
- Identify emerging best practices and opportunities to help continuously advance agile methods and practices.
- Provide scaling expertise to align multiple agile teams, collaborate and facilitate quarterly planning with large groups, manage portfolio backlog of epics and features, and facilitate decision making with product management, senior leaders and architects.
- Ability to flex styles & methodologies to guide team members based on the type of work being done.
- Prepare for and facilitation of Train meetings and processes, including Inspect & adapt, and quarterly release planning activities
- Direct the execution of agility health checks or assessments to ensure that mindsets, principles, and practices are being maintained. Guide leaders through interpretation of the outcomes and plan for action.
- Apply effective SAFe methodologies.
Delivery
- Remove impediments through provision of appropriate resources, guidance and escalation.

Manage common portfolio backlog partnering with senior product owner.
- Collaborate with senior product owner and architecture team to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.
- Work with Product Owners and team members to learn and practice healthy backlog management and prioritization practices.
- Ensure successful delivery of large impact and/or cross-functional product initiatives.

Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline and at least 6 years of IT and project/program management and experience in agile software development including coaching on agile methodologies.

Minimum of 8 years in a leadership position, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Solid coordination skills, ability to multitask and manage multiple teams in a cross-functional environment.

Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, business judgment, and proven expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff.

In-depth knowledge of business functions and understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives.

Scrum Master certification or equivalent certified professional preferred.

In-depth knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) with 2+ years experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner or Agile Coach.
