Job Description

The DBA Sr Consultant creates database structures for medium to large projects, provides support in the day to day operational management of Database Technologies and aids in software maintenance lifecycle management with little to no assistance. The DBA Sr Consultant analyzes, consults and recommends different options for database performance tuning, database configuration implementation, creates and maintains scripts and test plan execution. Understand, recommends and implemented replication strategies for Disaster Recovery plans and can. Execute Disaster Recovery test for Medium to Complex databases. Participates in Enterprise incident, change and problem management activities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will operate within the global management model with responsibility to

Provide technical knowhow to Oracle DBA group.

Prioritize and work on database incidents and work requests including performing platform health checks/quality reviews

Mentor Junior DBAs

The successful candidate should have good communication skills with an eagerness to improve quality and processes within the Oracle 12c and above environment.

Job Qualifications

Have a minimum of 4 years working as an oracle DBA ; and

Has knowledge and understanding of Oracle database systems;

Has an understanding of the ITIL best practices.

Experince with other database platforms highly preferred.

The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate a high degree of competence in

• Stakeholder Management (including negotiating with Senior Leadership)
