Actuarial Analyst

Remote, work-at-home job opening in the insurance industry.  As Actuarial Analyst, you’ll be challenged by the scope and complexity of projects at this healthcare actuarial consulting firm. All of this is under the company’s umbrella of health actuarial, management and underwriting consulting services for individual and group health & welfare insurance products.

Details of Their Team:

• This is a remote, work-at-home position. Half of the company’s employees work remote, so you will seamlessly integrate into their model.
• Actuarial experts handle all actuarial functions including product development, pricing, rate review, valuation, compliance, network development and more.
• Provides services to clients that include government entities, health plans/HMOs, insurance companies, networks/Managed Care Organizations, providers (hospital systems), Third-party administrators (TPAs) and reinsurance companies.

Responsibilities as Actuarial Analyst:

• Review, organize and analyze healthcare cost and utilization data

• Support competitive analyses to assess commercial provider networks
• Coordinate, prepare and perform complex actuarial analysis for health-related products
• Assist in developing and maintaining Long Term Care (LTC) pricing and projection models
• Prepare actual-to-expected claims, mortality and persistency studies

Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• 2-5 years of Actuarial experience; minimum of two Society of Actuaries exams passed
