Business Risk and Product Development Director

As Underwriting Director, you’re a strategic leader in an insurance organization that’s building a legacy in innovative product design and customer service. A reinsurance company affiliated with over 1,000 dealerships nationwide, the company is committed to supporting partners with technology, compliance and product development.

Job Summary: A newly created position, your responsibilities include oversight of existing business (vehicle protection and vehicle service agreements) as well as development and implementation of new revenue-generating programs.

Essential Duties:

• Forecasting models, data analysis, rating/pricing/underwriting for all lines
• Competitor rate and product comparisons
• Sales strategic planning, industry and account trend info
• Supervise and collaborate with the Product Development Manager and Business Risk Manager

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years of underwriting experience specifically with vehicle protection products and/or vehicle service agreements. Strong sales presentation skills. Ability to manage and resolve challenging customer service situations. Sound approach to underwriting using actuarial data, market trends and research to manage rating and pricing structures.
