We currently have an exciting, career opportunity for a Senior Director based out of our Torrance, CA office. The Senior Director will manage WC and P&L reinsurance and excess claims programs to include best practices, benchmarks and quality assurance. Produce claim trend reports and success stories to showcase our value proposition for presentation to clients. Perform audits on claims to ensure consistency and best practices. Claims lead for data delivery to internal and external customers to ensure consistency and branding.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • General PIPS and PLCA pool claims management and carrier relationships
  • PIPS/Reinsurance Intermediary
  • Consistency and training of all legislative and regulatory changes and services both externally and internally
  • Claim benchmarking trends
  • PLCA corridor reports
  • Provide better economic results for our clients and carriers from an operational perspective
  • Develop and delivery of claim success stories to our carriers and clients
  • Catastrophic claims management team
  • Quality Control
  • Claim Auditor/audit services
  • DWC Audit Unit/Regulatory Compliance
  • Mitigation expert for all external audits
  • Enhanced training on exceptional customer service for improved outcomes on injured worker surveys, reduced litigation, everyday acts of kindness, etc.
  • Special Projects
  • Other duties as assigned

CERTIFICATION / LICENSES: OSIP, WCCA, WCCP

MINIMUM SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS: College Graduate, Bachelor of Arts in Business Management preferred.  At least 10 years insurance and reinsurance claims related experience. Experience in analyzing and auditing data, presenting findings and summarizing outcomes.   Ability to work independently, work in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines on multiple projects. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills both written and oral.  Self-motivated, independent and able to handle time sensitive projects. Effective organizer, planner, and self-starter Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and the Internet.

SOFTWARE: Microsoft Office suite of products with expertise and focus in Excel and Access.
