This position supports the controllership and financial planning and analysis functions, including supporting the preparation of statutory and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) financial statements, annual and quarterly statements (yellow book), regulatory reports, reinsurance settlements, treasury, management reporting, forecasting and budgeting functions. 

Essential Duties

Work with the Controllership and FP&A functions and third-party accounting operations and perform the following functions;

Close process/accruals;

Review financial statements (Stat, GAAP);

Treasury, cash & collateral management;

Review Quarterly & annual statutory statements;

Prepare audited financials, audits, state examinations, and support overall annual audit process;

Review premium tax returns;

Prepare management reports, expense analysis, periodic reforecasts and support annual budget;

Support reinsurance accounting & settlements;

Oversee journal entries and supporting schedules;

Oversee reconciliation of accounts;

Prepare accurate and timely financial information for state regulatory filings.
