Underwriting Assistant

An established North Atlanta niche commercial insurance organization has a tremendous opportunity for an assistant underwriter to join their growing team. This position will provide support to commercial underwriters and work hand in hand with other team members in a professional environment.

The primary duties for this opportunity will include servicing an assigned book of commercial E&S insurance accounts.  Main responsibilities for this role include:

• Processing binders and endorsements
• Working up account quotes
• Issuing policies
• Communicating with agents to obtain needed policy data
• Organizing system data
• Working with billing and claims data

To be considered for this position candidates must have at least 2 years of commercial insurance experience as an underwriting assistant with a managing general agency or commercial insurance company. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work accurately in a team environment. Experience with ImageRight and exposure to multiple insurance company quoting and binding systems is preferred for this role.
