This position is responsible for coordinating and performing a variety of administrative and quality assurance activities for the Claims Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for onboarding and training all Claim Operations new hires, both permanent and temporary in the event of a Catastrophe.

Assists with daily, weekly and monthly quality assurance reviews on a variety of topics including duplicate payments, vendor billing, fast track claim handling, and cause of loss.

Manages the financial tracking and claim set up for the offline program claims, working with other departments to reconcile on a by-monthly basis.

Assists in UAT testing for new functional features and after monthly data base updates in Advanced Claims and Claims Dispatch.

Responsible for W-9 entry, serving as the lead for the yearly 1099 project.

Lead on special task assignments requested by all interdepartmental groups.

Monitor department central email accounts to disseminate emails and upload to the respective claim files.

All other Claim Operations job tasks and duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Advanced computer literacy in Word, Excel (including the ability to create pivot tables), PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, and the Internet.

Analytical and quantitative skills.

Ability to review and evaluate data for accuracy and completeness.

Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-task handling skills.

Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work independently and to use problem solving techniques.

Ability to exercise extreme confidentiality and discretion on a daily basis.

Education and Experience:

Highschool diploma or equivalent is required.

At least four years of experience in a service industry.

Certificates or Licenses:

As required by regulatory entities. Relevant professional designations or certifications highly desirable.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
