We are currently seeking an experienced Risk Control Manager to effectively manage the Risk Control unit in our Agribusiness department.  Primary responsibility is to lead the team in increasing profitability by ensuring that both new and existing policyholders receive appropriate risk control services.

The selected candidate will mentor and coach the Agribusiness Risk Control staff to:

  • Provide agricultural technical expertise in health and safety in all lines of business
  • Provide quality service to policyholders, underwriters and producers
  • Reduce and control claims and losses and potential loss exposures.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, in addition to partnering with underwriting and claim departments to develop and maintain strong business relationships. The selected candidate can work from the Sarasota, FL, Indianapolis, IN, Duluth, GA, Jackson, MS, Birmingham, AL, Richardson, TX offices or remotely inside of FCCI’s operating territory and will report to the Managing Director, Risk Control.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.  Degrees with an emphasis in safety, risk management or related field preferred.
  • Six years agricultural underwriting or safety experience, including two years in a supervisory role
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles of loss control applied in a commercial multi-line P&C environment
  • Thorough knowledge of the independent agency system
  • Extensive knowledge of agriculture industry safety principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent  knowledge of management and supervision principles
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant State and Federal laws and regulations
  • Commitment to delivering superior customer service to all internal and external customers of FCCI
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving history
  • Flexibility for necessary travel & occasional overnight stays
