SUMMARY

Assists Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) processing changes and renewals, data entry, rating, making calls to customers and carriers, issuing Certificates of Insurance, preparing binders and assisting in any other areas as instructed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process change requests for autos and issue ID cards. Confirm and process cancellation notices.
  • Process change confirmations and endorsement requests.
  • Communicate customer and carrier problems to CSRs.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all company procedures.
  • Assist or fill in for CSRs as directed. Issue Certificates of Insurance.
  • Scan all paperwork into agency management system such as late-payment notices, cancellation notices, payment-received notices, claims information, address changes, communications from customers and carriers, etc.
  • Take initial claim information from policyholder and/or claimant.
  • Communicate information to CSRs and if appropriate, submit claim information to carriers.
  • Follow up on outstanding claims as requested.
  • Process all paperwork as instructed by CSRs.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all rating products and rates products as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Self-starter, imaginative and creative, with good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and capable of multi-tasking.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to use personal computer, calculator, agency management system and various software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel
