Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Claims Systems Analyst whom can sit in any of our CSC offices. This role calls from someone with attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess the following skill set. 

Summary Statement

Processes claim corrections via the claim transfer process.  Supports, administers and maintains claims department systems.  Provides application documentation and trains staff in existing business applications.  Provides technical application support to end users. 

Essential Tasks/Major Duties
  • Manually process claim corrections via the Claim Transfer process.
  • Review and provide technical application and process support to users through the identification of business needs, system impacts and alternative solutions including considerations for cost effectiveness and system and maintenance constraints.
  • Monitor claims related systems, including identifying and investigating data integrity, system and performance issues, determining appropriate action and coordinating, as needed, with other team members, the IT department, and other stakeholders to determine the best resolution.
  • Identify and recommend system and/or procedural improvements based on existing operating information systems and procedures.
  • Conduct needs assessments and test system upgrades and new implementations.
  • Lead projects for new state Claims Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) implementations, third party integrations and other related special projects including requirement gathering, vendor project management, and coordination with internal departments.
  • Create and distribute communication materials and conduct training for internal staff on claims related applications, processes and system upgrades. 
  • Develop and execute test plans to support mandated, system and other changes and authorize their move into a production environment.
  • Define, develop and implement quality assurance practices and procedures, end user test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures and other quality assurance assessments, ensuring timely resolution.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work-related experience.
  • 3 years of experience handling claims and regulatory reporting practices within a property and casualty insurance environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.
  • Demonstrates successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
