Donegal Insurance Group has an opening for a Auto Appraiser to join our team. They will be responsible for the Harrisburg, Camphill, and Carlisle, PA territory. Candidate who live in the Carlisle area are preferred.

We are seeking an experienced appraiser to inspect and appraise damaged vehicles including total losses, and negotiate with body shops, insureds, and claimants to restore these vehicles and equipment to their pre-damage condition while meeting time sensitive service goals. Candidates should possess 3 to 5 years of vehicle appraisal or related experience plus competency in CCC Pathways, Mitchell or Audatex. A PA Appraiser license and clean driving record are required. Travel required; company car provided. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently are required.

About the role:

  • Appraise motor vehicle physical damages on both first and third party claims
  • Assist in the disposal of motor vehicle salvage
  • Re-inspect motor vehicle physical damages appraised by independent appraisal companies
  • 3-5 years of insurance experience or insurance related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a background in insurance or equivalent experience
  • Experience using Estimating Software
