Currently seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager for a Direct Hire opportunity with an Insurance Brokerage in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will possess Commercial Lines Account Management experience and a Property and Casualty Insurance license.
Responsibilities of the Commercial Lines Account Manager
- Provides support and assistance for the development of new business
- Build and maintain relationships with the clients and carriers as necessary.
- Provide consistent, accurate and timely communication to clients through verbal and written correspondence
- Maintain client files in Epic and use Epic for processing all transactions
- Process daily incoming mail and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately
- Handle cancellations with care and act to save accounts (if applicable) and notify Producer
- Assist with preparing proposals and applications, submit to insured's and carriers (or marketing department); follow up to insure timely responses
- Assist clients in making appropriate coverage changes; inform and educate clients about coverages, exclusions along with auditing and documenting file accordingly
- Renew and re-market accounts as needed in conjunction with agency standards
- Occasionally accompany Producer on prospect or client meetings
- Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other related items
- Set priorities and manage work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities
Requirements of the Commercial Lines Account Manager
- 5 or more years experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager
- Property and Casualty license is current
- Understand commercial insurance underwriting, coverage and rate analysis
- Knowledge of insurance coverages and an ability to communicate this clearly to clients and underwriters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize and self-manage work load
- Computer literate with experience using Word and Excel
- Ability to work in a team environment, with a positive attitude and willingness to help others
- Able to work under pressure and time constraints in a fast paced environment with significant telephone and personal interruptions
