JOB SUMMARY
The Farm/CL Underwriter will evaluate applications for insurance policies and assess the degree of risk to the insurance company. They will assist the Director of U/W in the development of new products or product enhancements and will work with the company agencies for production and profitability. Works with the Company agencies for production and profitability. This position will provide excellent customer service to agents and policyholders and answer incoming calls from policyholders, office assistants and agents concerning policy questions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University and 3+ years of industry experience
- Strong technical knowledge in Farm/Ranch and/or Commercial lines
- Personal Lines experience a plus
- Product development experience and current Producers license preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to make independent and cognizant decisions
- Excellent judgment, decision-making, organizational, time management and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast paced work environment
- Adapts well to changes
