Summary
We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst with some prior actuarial experience. The position is for those who have committed to an actuarial career path. Having passed at least one actuarial exam is preferable, but not required.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Compile data from internal databases for actuarial reports and models
- Perform data extraction and reconciliation for reports, as required. This includes “drilling down” into the data to generate reports for specific agencies, states and/or named insureds
- Assist in the compilation of premium, loss, and claim count data triangles for reinsurers
- Complete monthly rate monitoring responsibilities
- Utilize macros and other tools to increase automation within excel files and databases
Qualifications
- 1 – 2 years of experience ideal
- Proficiency with analytic tools including Excel, Access, R, SQL is required
- Strong analytical skills
- Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam is preferred
- Math, statistics, finance, etc., related college degree is required
